The amount of energy per 100 grams of almond kernels is 576 kcal.

Types of almonds

Mamra Almonds

Mamra almond or midwife almond is one of the best and most delicious types of almonds produced in Iran. Almond Mamra is native to Chaharmahal Bakhtiari province and is mainly produced in this province and in the areas along the Zayandeh River.

Mamra almonds are very good in terms of taste, color and fat. Mamra almond is a type of stone almond and has a very strong skin like it. The kernel of this almond has a sweet and delicious taste and its bitterness percentage is zero.

Midwifery almond kernels are larger than stone almonds and naturally have a high percentage of twins. The kernels of this almond are used raw, salted and roasted in a variety of nuts and in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and soap industries as well as in the production of soap.

Shahroudi almonds

Shahroudi almond kernel observation is estimated at about 35%, the skin of the fruit is hard and woody, and the percentage of kernels being twins is estimated at 0 to 2%. Due to its great similarity, this almond is in the category of Rabi and midwifery almonds and has a higher price than other cultivars of Shahroudi almond. Customers who prefer to reduce the price of their almonds buy a mixture of Shahroudi almond seedlings and midwifery almond seedlings.
